How would you describe what you do?
My name is Sylwia Kunysz and I am a makeup artist. I create timeless and natural makeup looks for women of all ages. I like to show them their best facial features and how to use specific products and techniques to their advantage. Lots of women feel overwhelmed with the number of makeup products on the market and skip this relaxing ritual. I like to remind them that makeup is fun.
What inspired you?
When I was younger, I was fascinated by many looks created in the magazine on one model. I got hooked by the textures, colours, and the glitters. The endless inspiration for my current looks comes from the movies - I love seeing how timeless the looks can be! I am also always inspired by nature and its beauty. Simplicity is key to me. Well, most of the time anyway!
What do you enjoy most about your work?
My workday is never the same. The joy of wedding mornings when you are helping a bunch of excited girls to look their best, planning looks for the photoshoot to unleash the creativity or to follow the creative brief, getting ready with a high profile client at a fast pace and making sure every detail of the look is perfect.
But seeing a woman smiling back at her mirror reflection where she recognizes herself after the makeup application and gasping, “ OMG I look fabulous!” is one of the moments that I genuinely love!
What are you most proud of?
I am proud that I’m following my heart when creating the looks for my clients. I know they appreciate it. None of my clients like to see her clone on the street. I see their uniqueness, individuality and I want to enhance that.

What does natural beauty mean to you?
Natural beauty, for me, is acceptance of changes and oneself. It’s also about enhancing the best features and loving the imperfections.
What makes you glow?
Elan Skincare makes me glow:)) Also love makes me glow, my friends around me and being in nature- that’s where we naturally slow down, our mind relaxes, and reflects on your face and in your eyes.
What is your self-care ritual?
I wake up 1-2 h earlier than my family ( not that I’m an early bird!) and do my morning exercises for 30-45 min, followed by a glass of warm water with a slice of lemon. I like my evening cleansing routine and applying all my serums and massaging the skin. Also, spending time reading my magazines with a cup of tea - I am a magazine kind of person:)) I love reading books - biographies especially.
What is your makeup advice?
Be yourself. Don’t copy others. You are unique, so take advantage of it. Enhance your best feature and what you like the most in your face. And remember - investing in a quality product is always worth it, so spend your money on the most important product for your makeup.
And remember - mascara and blush can make you look ten years younger!
